Apply To Job

Job ID: 2730204

DoorDash, Inc.

New York, NY; San Francisco, CA

About the Team

At DoorDash we’re building the world’s leading last-mile logistics platform. This is a unique opportunity to help establish a fast-growing, global brand, and affect the future of work and last mile commerce as we know it.

Our Dasher & Logistics team owns the end-to-end Dasher experience from supply, efficiency to net-new bets. Design plays an important role, providing important thought partnership in product development. This is where you come in.

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for a Product Designer to lead design and strategy for a new product that empowers Dashers to achieve financial success. Our Dashers are at the heart of our business, and this team is on a mission to help Dashers reach their goals by creating exciting new services and offerings for them.

You will design and ship innovative experiences across web and native mobile, define the long term product vision for a new financial product, and work with cross functional stakeholders to drive the strategy and roadmap for your team.

You will also have the opportunity to directly contribute to the Dasher design system and drive initiatives to uplevel the craft of our product.

The role can be based in San Francisco or New York and will report into a Design Manager for Dasher & Logistics. This is a hybrid role, with some time in-office and some time remote.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Be the founding designer for a completely new bet for DoorDash, with the opportunity to completely transform how DoorDash is perceived today and what DoorDash has to offer
  • You’ll work with a very underserved audience- Dashers- and solve meaningful problems that directly impact the day to day lives of humans
  • You’ll work on a team of other designers and have the ability to leverage a strong design system, but you’ll also have complete ownership over your product area and the opportunity to directly influence and evolve the design system
  • The team moves fast, ships quickly, and operates like a startup within DoorDash - it’s like joining DoorDash in 2016, but with the security and mature processes of a larger company behind you

We're excited about you because…

  • You are a senior-level IC with 5+ years of work experience
  • You think of yourself as a craftsperson, have a passion for visual design and prototyping, and usually find yourself sweating over the details
  • You are all about 0 to 1, and enjoy driving clarity in ambiguous spaces
  • You are hands-on and passionate about rapid experimentation, directly talking to users to understand their pain points, and wearing many hats
  • You love thinking long term, crafting visions, and jamming on strategy. For you, design is more than just the pixels- it’s being a true thought partner
