Product Overview
The Product team is at the center of building DoorDash products that consumers, merchants dashers, and agents use every day. This team is passionate and user-obsessed with creating products that will be transformative and impactful for all who interact with them. It goes way beyond building a good product; it’s an obsession to build the best product for all DoorDash users
Our Product Structure
Ads & Data
Builds the Marketing Platform for the local economy, while empowering businesses of all sizes to reach their customers and grow locally. From ads, promotions, loyalty, insights, and more – we build all the tools necessary to achieve this vision.
Commerce Platform
Provides products and services to help Merchants grow, run, and operate their business on their in-store and off-premise channels. Our à la carte suite of solutions help Merchants scale capabilities, drive sales, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience – anytime, anywhere guests engage with their brand.
Consumer
Owns end-to-end consumer app experiences for both mobile and desktop. Focus areas include discovery & search, shopping experience, DoubleDash, DashPass, and more.
Customer Experience and Integrity
Ensures every delivery is perfect by focusing on the live delivery and customer support experiences as well as our fraud, trust and safety systems. We build in-app experiences, agent-facing products, and AI backend systems and tools to ensure every delivery on DoorDash is delightful.
New Verticals
Accelerates invention and progress of new categories, verticals, and products by building powerful tools to manage the marketplace. We build experiences that make DoorDash a destination for everything in your city, not just restaurant food.
Growth
Fuels the growth engine at DoorDash. We build products that make DoorDash the most popular local commerce app – including acquisition, retention, and platform to empower growth of consumers, merchants, and dashers.
Merchant
Ensures Merchants are successful on the DoorDash platform. We build innovative solutions that guide and empower Merchants every step of their journey, focusing on their health and long-term business success.
Logistics
Creates the best platform for gig workers to achieve their financial goals, have dependable and reliable Dashing experiences, be rewarded for doing great work, and feel safe at every point. We strive to achieve seamless, reliable and anxiety free experiences for our Consumers and Merchants, while driving affordability for our Consumers.

Virtual Interview Process
Recruiter Phone Screen
In the first step of the process, you will speak with our recruitment team in a 30-minute call about what you’ve worked on, level expectations, and other key factors. During this time, you’ll also learn about DoorDash and our interview process.
ROUND 1: Product Phone Screen
In this round, your interviewer will cover two main focus areas as you work through a 45 minute case study to solve a problem:
- Product Prioritization: Be prepared to illustrate your framework for hypothesizing potential pain points and prioritizing them effectively.
- Product Sense: Be prepared to discuss what the product does well, what could be improved, and ideas to engage users.
ROUND 2: Virtual Onsite Interview
The final interview will be a 3-hour virtual onsite interview day. There will be 4 focus areas as listed below:
- Product Sense [45 min]
- Product Prioritization [45 min]
- Product Retrospective [45 min]
- Product Values [30 min]
