This summer, DoorDash attended the Disability:IN Conference for the very first time, joining thousands of advocates, business leaders, and changemakers committed to advancing disability inclusion in the workplace and beyond.
Our participation was led by our Able@ DoorDash employee resource group, which is dedicated to creating a globally inclusive support network that celebrates physical and neurological diversity.
We were honored to have ERG leads Kinzie Keller, Asset Protection and Safety Senior Associate, and Lyndsey Leask, Operations Manager, DashMart, as speakers at the event. Kinzie set the tone for meaningful dialogue with opening remarks for the Neurodiversity Roundtable, and Lyndsey shared insights on how organizations can create more accessible and supportive environments as part of the Employee/Business Resource Group Connect: A Lightning Round of Ideas session.
Throughout the week, we also had representatives from our Able@ ERG and our DEI team stationed at our booth to welcome attendees to learn about DoorDash’s accessibility journey and our ongoing commitment to building inclusive products, practices, and communities.
At DoorDash, our mission to grow and empower local economies depends on accessibility for all — whether that’s through the products we design, the opportunities we create for talent, or the partnerships we form. Attending Disability:IN gave us the chance to learn from peers, share our story, and return with fresh ideas to accelerate our work.
